The view northeast from the high point on the summit ridge of Four-in-One Cone. This cinder cone complex and its associated lava flows formed as a series of lava fountains issued from a fissure vent system about 2700 years ago. In the central background, the rounded summit cone of youthful Belknap Crater contrasts nicely with the jagged spire of Mount Washignton’s much older glaciated peak.
