The compound cirque on the northeastern flank of Three Fingered Jack displays dual sets of moraine crests. The inner moraine “crest” is a composite of two nearly perfectly preserved moraines encircling a proglacial lake, the outer is a Jefferson Park neoglacial and the inner is a Little Ice Age moraine. The outer moraine is a subdued, tree-covered ridge encircling the meadow below which is of Canyon Creek age.
